Ethos is excited to welcome Dante Pasquinelli as Colorist to their growing Los Angeles studio.
Growing up in and around darkrooms, Dante Pasquinelli found his passion for the visual arts at an early age. After arriving in Los Angeles, Pasquinelli cut his teeth as a post-engineer. His breakthrough role as a colorist came from grading an episodic show for IFC, Stan Against Evil, which led to him working on highly acclaimed TV series for AMC and Netflix. Pasquinelli’s visual approach juxtaposes rich desaturated colors against gritty textural and atmospheric elements, evoking a retro sense of glamour infused with a hint of countercultural edge. Refined, dreamlike beauty meets the coarseness of reality.
His alchemical touch and editorial sensibility have gained him renown within the realms of iconic luxury brands and high fashion, where he collaborates regularly with elite brands including Gucci, Armani, Fendi, Lanvin, Rodarte, Calvin Klein, and Vogue. He has close working relationships with some of the industry’s top directors including Glen Luchford and Petra Collins, with whom he has collaborated on films starring world-renowned talent, such as Billie Eilish, LeBron James, Lykke Li, and Kendall Jenner. His additional commercial credits include top advertising campaigns for Apple, Nike, BMW, Victoria’s Secret, New Balance, Mango, and Canon.
“From the first meeting with the Ethos team, I knew they were my people.” remarks Pasquinelli. “Not often do you find such dedicated and caring creatives. I am honored to be grading next to Kaitlyn Battistelli, and to have the support of the entire team. Also, bonus that they have a cool logo.”
James Drew, Founder & Executive Producer says, “The work really does speak for itself. Dante's natural ability and his understanding of the craft makes beautiful results. We’ve been fans of his for a while and are beyond excited to have him as part of the team at Ethos.”
